BRIAN 'HEAD' WELCH Talks About KORN, God And Drug Addiction; Video Available

Former KORN guitarist Brian "Head" Welch visited "Fox & Friends" to talk about quitting band, drugs, and dedicating his life to God. Watch his interview at FoxNews.com.

Welch said in an interview with the Bakersfield Californian that his biggest regret about his time with the band was an incident in which he hit his wife. Welch said that playing the 1999 Woodstock festival in upstate New York was a highlight of his career, but also led to one of his lowest points. Welch explained, "I got home and got in a fight with my wife. Both the highest and lowest points in my life happened in one weekend. . . I'm not proud about everything, but I'm glad about the road I went down. I wouldn't be able to touch people like I can now. But I regret punching my wife."

Welch is currently promoting his newly published memoir, "Save Me from Myself: How I Found God, Quit Korn, Kicked Drugs, and Lived to Tell My Story". The book chronicles Welch's life and career with KORN, his struggle against drugs and his embrace of Christianity when he left the group.

Welch's book reportedly documents a lot of hard partying and drug use in the KORN camp, about which he said, "We went at it. It seemed that everybody did. Some bands we provoked to party, like INCUBUS. (KORN bassist) Fieldy got the guitar player to drink for the first time in his life. We saw them after that and they were drinking all the time."

The guitarist also told the Californian that the last time he spoke with his former bandmates in KORN, "there was a little bit of weirdness and I apologized...the bitterness is gone on my end." He added that he has no plans at present to meet with the members of KORN again.

Welch intends to release his first solo album later this year.

KORN will issue its untitled eighth studio effort at the end of this month.
